Download Global Illumination Rendering

This is a basic tutorial to get you started using GI (Global Illumination). Global Illumination will make your renders look much more realistic. The tutorial attempts to be a bit different than other GI rendering tutorials in that it explains and demonstrates the difference between using GI and not using GI. A number of examples are demonstrated. The tutorial finishes up using HDRI's to generate the GI as well as for providing realistic reflections.

The tutorial is 20min 41sec long. The zip includes the final scene file but does not include the HDR image as you have this already on your R10 goodies disk.

This tutorial replaces the old Image Based lighting tutorial recorded with R8. This tutorial is specific to R10.

Unzip and open the html file with your browser.
