Indent this shape into this box?

Aight so I'm working on this "podium" type thing to fit this robot I'm working on. I want to make an indent in this cube that I've turned into the Podium shape I want. Is there anyway to cut out the shape of the robot into this cube? I've attached the outer shell of the robot, not the entire thing I don't want it leaked and the podium to this post so you can see what I'm getting at.

How would you model this knife blade?

How would be your basic workflow to get these facets with nice, sharp edges?
I did the blade edge, facet just fine with weighting, but I'm having trouble with getting the other facets
to look right. Weighting is working so well. I don't have Spline Patch yet, but maybe this would be good here.

Funny, I've come so far in some respects, I can model faces, an entire dragon, but simple hard surface
stuff like this still throws me.

help for college

hi guys,
i have been given the topic love and have to come up with 12 images, i have decided to do them with cinema 4d but cannot think what to do,
my first thought was a pink glass heart (possibly to animate it to shatter)
of or maybe a a Bolt with a face and a Nut with a face looking at each other ( if you get what i mean ;D )

however i cannot think of anything else, as i want original stuff like above,
thanks in advance,

Weight and Hypernurbs

Hi!

I have some doubts about hypernurbs weighting. I need to model a square box with some rounded corners, but hypernurbs is transforming everything to circular, and it doesn't look good. I tried with Weight Nurbs tool, reading the manual but i couldn't solve it.

The polygons are these:

And they became this:

But what i want is something as this (i used Magenetic tool only to demonstrate)

I tried also extruding a round rectangle, but it gets a lot of weird triangles:

Any tip about how should i resolve this problem?

thanks,
Carlos
PS: There's a basic c4d file here:
