I'm delighted to see the comments about more frequent updates. That's my biggest gripe about R10 taken care of.
Downloading the save-enabled demo of R11 now, with a bit of luck I'll be running the real thing before it's 42 days run out
Cheers,
Brian

The online updater is a great improvement!
My thoughts on what Mr. Babb said:
When he says, "CINEMA 4D Release 11 is not innovative", he can basically say that about most of the of Cinema 4D releases in the last few years. No real innovation just a lot of catching up to
other 3D packages. How about some innovation Mr. Babb? Maybe Cinema can be a leader instead of a follower for once!! :nonono:

"CINEMA 4D Release 11 is not innovative as much as it is about process improvements, that increase flexibility and workflow for our customers."
Maybe the whole sentence needs to be taken into account. I think the end of the sentence is way more important than the beginning.
I don't necessarily want innovation without ease of use. You can nail up all the innovations of the major packages but are they any easier to use?

The Doodle tool is pretty innovative if you ask me by the way.

Take a look at Modo.
If MAXON is going to use the excuse that other packages are more powerful but they are harder to learn, then they will always lag behind and move at a snail's pace. That might be ok
with you, but not with me or many of other artist that I have spoken to. This is my personal opinion and of course, everyone is entitled to their own.

That's exactly what I am talking about. They're always catching up to other 3D packages. Even the basics lag behind.
The Doodle tool is innovative, but does it help you create work better, faster or even easier. I rather see better modeling tools or even the addition of sculpting tools.
I am sure other designers feel the same way.

100% agree with you there. Sure its innovative but in all honesty I'd much rather see pyrocluster and dynamics receive attention or the addition of sculpting tools.

Not sure I would include dynamics or some of the modelling tools comply with that statement. No doubt some would say the AR module is half finished with DOF and motion blur issues still to be addressed.
