Great work Bluntpencil :) Feel free to post larger images so that it's easier to see things.

After a whole day of modeling. Here is my third robot of this challenge. Not quite sure what ill do with him.

Must say there have been some great Robot designs this time around.

Excellent work Nauble. I prefer the Sketch and Toon version the best. You'll have to decide which version to post.

In haste(work calls), thanx for the encouragement.
Unfortunately I only have c4d demo so limited to 640 x 400 but never mind, I will get C4D one day.
Some more of the same.
Enforcerbot is pointing out his e≈haust, spark plug and 2 stroke motor.
He is fully flexible ready for animation but I cant shoe that other than he can adopt any pose with ease.
I love Nauble's stuff amongst others.
Laters. :)

The bot looks good, nice work.

Booles are always likely to give messy geometry. Worth a look at 3DKiwis 'Holes Booleans and more holes' tutorial for more info on this.

@ Predator - Bodypaint is fine, but I think PS would be against the rules, have a look at them again on page one to make sure.

Cheers,
Brian

I just read the rules and I see nothing there that prohibits building textures in Photoshop, etc. It just prohibits photoshop "post work";

in fact textures are pretty wide open except for sculpting displacement maps in zbrush, etc

do I read that wrong?

1 last entry, couldn't resist. Had loads of fun creating my own as well as watching everyone elses develop. Some outstanding work once again. Did I read in an earlier post someone was selling tickets to watch the judges fight it out whilst they decide who wins? I'll take 2 tickets and a £50 wager on Alan. Sorry Nigel, but he's closer to where I live plus he's got a bigger beating stick then yours. :bigwink:

Hmmm....robots and cartoons. My 2 favorite things! I'm running out of time, but I have to get in on this one. Working on a concept now. Here's a first thought.

Some cool looking robots.

momo - welcome aboard. We really need to see a WIP image rather than the final image. i.e. a partially finished model

Hurry folks. Today is the last day. Make sure that you post your final render and wireframe in the final entry thread plus that you have posted at least one WIP (work in progress) image in this thread.

Look out for our Easter themed Challenge being announced tonight. This one should be a lot of fun.

Ok, beginning of modeling, and quick test of toon shading style.
