Howdy,

A local TV spot for Riverwind Casino was done by Big Machine Design, using Cinema 4D and CD Character Plugins.

To see the spot, click on the link below and select the "melee (Ackerman-Mcqueen)" project:

I was hired by Big Machine Design to do the playing card character rig. :)

Adios,
Cactus Dan

Very nice work as always Dan. Must have been a fun one to work on. Did you add a biped-style skeleton to the cards for this?

My other question is nothing to do with the rig or animation, just one of the titles in the clip - what in the world is 'St Pattys' day' ? :bookread:
I've heard of St Patrick's day and 'Paddys day' (yeah thanks for that!) but 'St Patty?'' something to do with pancakes maybe?

Cheers,
Brian

Hehe, yeah I reckon "Patty" is actually short for "Patricia"

Ah, St Patrica, the patron saint of green beer and casinos, I get it now. :roflmao:
One of our lesser known saints over here

Really like the boxing gloves on the characters btw, nice the way they grow as the cards jump up off the table.

Cheers,
Brian

Howdy,

Just to clarify, my only part in the project was the rigging.
I think the animators at Big Machine Design did a great job on the animation with the rig I created for them.

Adios,
Cactus Dan
