Think I've gone as far as I can with this using just splines, so I'm calling it done :)

EDIT: Says I. After rendering a larger version for the Final Entry thread I spotted an error. C'est la vie - fixed and re-rendering.

Hi, i finally decided to take part in this challenge, and its my first here ;] Didnt have much time for previouse challenges.
I'm trying to make a swiss army knife model, it has a lot of crazy shapes so it is very challengng for me, ive never used splines, nurbs and booleans like i used it here (without poly/point modelning)
So, here is what i've already made, i hope ill finish it tomorrow (very low GI settings, so there are some 'bugs')

WOW lots of great stuff here.  I absolutely love Skp's great job.

Im going  give it a whirl i think .  Im going in a different direction i think.  Watched Starblazers this weekend  and decided to do a model based on the Space battleship andromeda. i like the design of the ship.   Its all about splines here.

spline challenge is really tight as dealing with splines is driving crazy..
but I see great stuff over here.
I have tried my best, hope you like it.
I have tried to make it smoother and looks like a Volkswagen beetle.

@benerk - I like that. I love to see models that you would never dream of building with splines come to life :)

Very nice benerk. That's probably just the sort of thing whatever sadist thought up the challenge had in mind.
Me, I'm fighting with compressor blades and stators.

You need to make friends with grouping (and labeling) objects. :)
