Hi Guys,
Just going through a Chris Scmidt tut modelling & rigging a hydraulic arm (I'm sure you've seen it).
Hit a sticking point and am going crazy trying to figure it out.
The cylinder on the base pivot twists on axis where it shouldn't!
If anyone has time, would you mind having a quick look at the scene file and EXPLAINING why I'm such a dope.

I think you're making this more complex than it needs to me. I've fixed your scene up. What I did was get rid of the constraint and make the cylinder a child of the rotating base since that works. I then used a bit of XPresso to connect the P rotation of the joint to the cylinder.

Hope this helps.

p.s. Of course when this is rendered you won't notice the cylinder rotating anyway. Not unless you apply a material with some surface detail.

You're right about it being over-complicated. I've started over, using workflow that makes more sense to me! Thanks for your time on this.
