hahaha that is great kingcoma....I totally agree with the great sense of character and energy comment above.

The poses are really spot on.
Dad looks exactly like some of my past boyfriends when they've upset me
Great work by all so far :thisrocks:

To bad my C4D time has dropped to absolute zero.. Otherwise I would participate this challenge. I love cartoon characters.
Cool scene King.

Peace,

Here is a sketch of an idea. Kind of a tribute to Sully. Might have to break out my Art of Monster Inc. book.

I might have to participate in this one. What a great challenge. I'm totally rusty though. Been knitting for the grandkiddies - too much!

Update!

Made daddy-monster as well as baby monster (the baby needs some fur)

Mom's plssed at her husband because he wanted to play tennis, but he accidentally took one of their babies.

Love these! I've just seen the shots on your site as well - superb! Have you played about with SSS on your models at all? (might not be the look you're after but might be nice to see if you haven't tried it yet)

Hey Stownsend, thanks!

I haven't used SSS for a long LONG time now, as it was cr*p to use, i know with the new version it's been updated, but haven't played with it yet. Might aswell give it a try for another project!

Love your work!! Find the texture a bit too shiny and specular too strong for a skin.

First challenge to finally hook me! So thrilled to be trying my hand at character building.

Here's a WIP from my minotaur character. His gloves/hands are somewhat off, so I'm not sure if I'll even end up going that direction. Next up, hairy legs!

Not sure if this counts as a cartoon monster....I went to go see Brave and one of the previews was for Despicable Me 2...I love the minions! I'm pretty happy with it so far, but we will have to see how the poses turn out.

Some really cool stuff in here, I especially love the drawings...man I wish I could draw like you guys can
