The only possible thing that could drag me away from C4D has been this, which is far more fun than should be allowed, and, my so far rubbish piloting skills excepted, capable of chucking out some half decent footage with an underslung GoPro2. Cam mount works at absorbing rotor vibration, but really need a proper servo-controlled gimbal system for ultra smoothness.

Cool. My son has an AR Drone. We've had lots of fun with it. I've got a $99 radio control helicopter. Great but it can only be flown in absolute still conditions outside.

Bout £2.5K so far, though a lot of that is the FPV system components...

You can pick up the DJI F450 mainframe (arms, motors, ESC's) for £199, and about that again for the Naza GPS flight controller. With a cheapish TX, you might be looking at £800 minimum spend. Then you gotta add a camera rig, and a vibration isolating mount for it. Mine was a £100 import from America, but you can spend up to £4K on that bit alone if Pro AP is the plan...
