Release 10 and MoGraph

Just as we were finishing the review MAXON announced release 10. There are no enhancements to MoGraph except for a couple of bug fixes. However we can report that using MoGraph in release 10 is superior to release 9.6. The enhanced animation tools and controls make working with any animation project easier. As mentioned earlier, the option now in the timeline to be able to disable particular animation tracks allows you to experiment better. I could be imagining things but I seem to be getting better performance with MoGraph now in release 10. Complex scenes don't bog down the CPU as much as they did before. A word of warning however, release 10 scenes will not open in 9.6. As mentioned previously the pdf manual has been replaced by context sensitive help. After working with this for a few weeks I now prefer the new help system for finding information. The MoGraph help can still be read just like the pdf since it's based upon that and it appears to be in the same order as well. For those that insist on having a printed manual you can in fact print out the help files by chapters. Just right click in the help and select print. I actually did this on several chapters and because I have a pdf creating program on my computer that loads itself as a printer, I was able to generate pdf files. Here's an image of the MoGraph help. You can expand and collapse each chapter by clicking on the + and - icons.
