A new pipeline tool is on the way
Hey guys, I would like to show you Anchorpoint, a pipeline tool that will save you a lot of time and stress in your production which is developed by my former colleges from Maxon. It offers a version control system which is similar to GitHub but as easy to use as Dropbox. You don't have to save incrementally and end up with the classic shot_03_v43_final_02_mn_final_final.c4d naming issues but you rather commit a new version to a central server after you have done your work.
It can handle huge project sizes easily and allows you to manage users and projects access so you don't have to dig around with FTP-servers It is currently in early access. I am already testing their beta version and I really like it!
What is also cool is that it has a file browser which displays EXR-files.
The software is still in development and the team is open for feature requests and feedback. If you think that such a pipeline tool would improve your workflow, I encourage you to sign up for early access. The team told me that they will provide a first beta version at the beginning of February.
