  1. Tennis Ball Baseball Modelling

Part 1 of this tutorial is approx 17mins and takes you through how to model a ball with a seam, similar to a tennis ball and baseball.

Part 2 which is approx 38mins then describes how to add some stitching to make your ball look like a baseball. It also describes what textures, lighting and render settings I used for this project.

Hope you enjoy and learn something from it.

  3. Modelling helical screw threads

This is a way I figured out of modelling helical screw threads such as can be found just about anywhere, in your car, your computer, bottle caps etc.
Although I demonstrate with a simple thread form the technique can be adapted to more complex thread profiles, but I leave that to you.

I modelled this using Cinema4D R10.5 core but as the method uses no modules or plugins I imagine it could be followed in almost any C4D release.

The WIP topic which prompted this tutorial is here.

    H264 codec.

VLC player drops the audio at 6:42, an edited scene join, but just clicking the little black diamond in the scrubber will restore it.

Cafe member rorki tells me this tutorial can be followed in the giveaway version CE6.
