By TheJimReaperPart 1 of this tutorial is approx 17mins and takes you through how to model a ball with a seam, similar to a tennis ball and baseball.
Part 2 which is approx 38mins then describes how to add some stitching to make your ball look like a baseball. It also describes what textures, lighting and render settings I used for this project.
Hope you enjoy and learn something from it.

By SKPThis is a way I figured out of modelling helical screw threads such as can be found just about anywhere, in your car, your computer, bottle caps etc.
Although I demonstrate with a simple thread form the technique can be adapted to more complex thread profiles, but I leave that to you.

By DamselThis tutorial is basically for beginners and will guide you through modeling and creating textures for a simple apple. Procedural textures are created for the stem and the apple which allow for color changing if you wish. There is also a link at the bottom of the tutorial to the textures if you wish to download them to study. Have fun!
