A Rainy day in Paris

For this project i will model the Eiffel Tower, the enviroment around and render with a black & white rain...

I started modeling the pattern of the base:

And reunited a couple of images for reference

    Could we see some decent closeups and wireframes ? Otherwise it's very hard to know if you are doing well or not, or need any pertinent advice ! :)

  • Well, yes, this pattern helped me to model the details in the center 

    I named this BASE1 

     

    there are 3 versions of this column of iron, one warped from left to right, one slightly more straight, but not so straight, and one absolutely straight

    Are you fairly confident you've got this one sorted, or would you appreciate some expert advice ? For example, are you just going to let everything intersect like that ?!

  • well, I do not see any problem, because in this scene, the tower will not be seen so closely, but in the future I can correct these intersection errors

    HQ Details

    Reduced Intersections by 80%

    Resized and repositioned some objects

    Proportionally straight and cloned irons

     

     

    I'm considering adding the screws from the tower as mesh instead of texture, what do you think?

    and maybe sell on turbosquid later xd

    Extrude nurbs counts as ngon?

    I have done the structure with c4d primary objects

    Sweep Nurbs (im using c4d since R12 xD) , Extrude and some Cubes

    So i could assume everything its made of quad-poly, right?

    All Extrude set to Quad, and removed all n-gons
