Problems with excess objects in a 3d mod

I am making a 3D model to sell, but I do not know if I should connect all the objects in a single one to make the scene lighter, or if I should keep all the objects separate (that surpasses 300, and further on it should reach 3000)

Does the fact that an object is reduced to a single mesh compromises its quality?

It's up to you. As long as your hierarchy is great and everything is in nice logical groups and subfolders and named properly, then people may thank you for keeping elements separate in case they need to change anything. However, the scene will be slower to navigate. If you connect them all into one the scene will be faster but you offer clients less flexibility, which may or may not matter, depending on how they are using it.
