Duplicate & Randomize (No Mograph)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

How can I duplicate some objects along spline - and let the duplication be random (not all the objects appears in the same order)

I'm on c4d 17 prime (no mograph)

Peace,

Kobi

Bad news - I don't think you can. You have the Arrange tool, which can line things up, and Set Point Value, which will let you randomize points, but not much that can replace what a cloner could do so easily; there is nothing I can think of that will randomly distribute objects along a spline without it.

But I think you have the Align to spline tag, and if so you can do it that way, albeit somewhat manually by putting that tag on every object, and setting a different position parameter for each one, which will  let you distribute them as you choose on the spline.

There may also be a plugin that helps, but I haven't found it so far...

The MAXON page says Prime has XPresso, and if I'm reading the Help section correctly, also align to spline. So some random reals  could easily randomize objects on a spline.

    A lot of if's . . .
