Equivalent or Scripts for Max Loop Tools

Recommended Posts

Not that I am aware of. HB modelling bundle has some of that (straight, distribute points) but certainly not all of it.

To be fair Max is really the modelling maestro, and has had years on Cinema to develop all its superior tools and scripts - it's no surprise it's winning in that department ;)

  • to me the mere non geeky user these seems like very simple, basic straightforward tools  that can be easily scripted. Im not thinking of them like having years of development  and research behind or requiring technology that doesnt already exist.  Im pretty sure these are old as hell judging by the dated icons. Its more like a  scrupulous engineer putted them in just  in case . Still when you see them lacking in other software you start to think  these guys at 3ds max really thought of everything back then. Makes you think where Max would have been if he got a minimum attention in development in his strong areas in the recent years.

Blender has a free preferences addon -Loop Tools- that somehow resemble them but not quite and not all (ts in the extra addons section for a reason).
