How to prepare hair for printing?

Recommended Posts

I'm currently working on a character figurine for our Pathfinder group, and I'm having a bit of trouble converting my hair work into a printable outline shape. I've tried shrinking some cloth around it but it's extremely slow to calculate and doesn't end up looking quite like what I was going for either.

Has anyone around here attempted something similar and could share some tips?

It would very much help if we could see the hair you are talking about !

  • Thanks for that tutorial, but it seems to be quite specific and maybe not too applicable to my problem.

I've attached a picture of the intended hairstyle, please ignore the additional collider geometry still in there, I'm currently at school and had to use a picture I had lying around.

I think either not using hair and sculpting geometry or try converting hair to geometry straight out and use a heat gun to mould it to the shape you want after.

here is some inspiration on a creative way to add hair to a print....
