hey all,

I have imported some objects from maya to a c4d project and whenever I'm working in the interface the texture seems to be fine. It's only when I get to rendering that things start looking weird and I get these weird black/dark shades in them. Anyone knows how I can solve this? I'm a very big newbie and have no idea what I am doing wrong. please help!

thank you!

Hmm. I'm not downloading a file that doesn't have a file extension ! Not sure what you did there, but it's probably not right...

It has been awhile since I’ve used Maya, but I recall it might have needed to invert alpha textures. The other thing to be careful about is if some normals got flipped.
