Deform along a spline

OK, so I know how to deform an object along a spline { Im animating a hose with a metal nozzle snaking around a few pivot points } the problem is that I do not want the Metal nozzle to deform, just the rubber hose? Ideas?

if the nozzle was separate object you can just stick it on the end with an align to spline tag.

  • I tried that but they travel at different speeds and I have to keyframe just about every frame and adjust to make the look connected.

    There are ways round that... the most simple of which involves merely changing your path spline interpolation to uniform.
