Responding to User Data changes

Recommended Posts

I have a Python tag on an object, and I want the script to be notified/invoked when I change particular User Data attributes.

I'd like the script to react to changes made to attributes belonging to the Python tag itself, and also changes to attributes belonging to the tag's object.

Specifically, I have a "Button" type User Data attribute, but I'm also interested in reacting to changes to other types.

I noticed that I can't drag my User Data Button into the Console or other scripting windows, like I can with other types.

Thanks for any help :-)
