How to make the triangles in this case?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Been trying to figure out how to make these triangles in the case but with no success.

The only way I can figure out is to make a spline like the triangles, copy it once more and add a loft.
Then put it all into a Boole at the case.

But this doesn't seem like the most efficient way to do this.

At the same time, I don't know any other way to get the exact same triangles made like the once in the case.

Anybody else knows how to make those triangles?

Thanks!

Hello,

the top surface is symmetrical in 2 axises, so you can use that to speed up the process.

As for the triangles just draw spline similar to their shapes then use the Sweep object with a n-gon spline set to 2 sides and a small radius. This will create a nice row of edge loops around the triangles and the rest is just filling the object with nice quads.

I would choose the classic modelling approach - not hard at all, simple mesh to keep it under control. (scene attached).

Build only half of it as maliohammad pointed out.

    Great, will test. Thanks!
