Lighting accuracy and ceiling turns blac

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys!

I'm trying to recreate this gallery. I have built it form the original floor plans and elevation plans, so I know my lights are in accurate places. I tried lighting the scene, but it comes out blue, still dark, and the ceiling turns black. I've tried changing the lights to all the types (omni, directional, etc) I've even tried adding material to the 3d lights to make them emitters. I'm a little stuck at this point. I know it's possible to achieve an accurate result, I've seen it done here before, I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Please see attached files.

This is what its supposed to look like.

This is what I am getting.

Thank you!!!

I am not sure what you did to your lights, but even taking one of them to a new scene make it light one side only. When I created a new light it worked perfect, so my advice it create new lights in a new scene and make sure the settings you use don't change how they behave then transfer them back in your original scene.

3D is where your dreams come true ... or at least mine :D
