problem when split apolygon using spline

Recommended Posts

This is really strange.  After reversing the normals and doing a bevel then undoing the normal go back to what they were before reversing.  So on that one side what is happening is on bevel it is reversing the normals for some odd reason.  I even went to the mesh checking under the modeling settings and it shows nothing.  Optimizing does nothing.

One work around I did find to get a good mesh and have it bevel right is to take the side having problems and triangulate it.  This will stop the glitch.  You can even make it into a ngon again after triangulating and it will still bevel correct.  If I was to guess I would say the knife cut was still partially active in some way which was making the ngon flip on bevel.

Send this video to MAXON though so they can fix it.

On the bevel tool change the Mitering from Default to Uniform.  The other option would be to make that poly into an ngon again before beveling.

You have to triangulate the one problem side to make it bevel right.  After that to make it have the right corners when beveling you can either change the Mitering to Uniform or make that side a ngon again.
