The above applies to everything (Ex: Plopping down new primitive shapes, etc), not just X-Particles. Very annoying to not see my changes be reflected right away.

Any ideas? Thanks!!!

  • Going to File > Preferences > OpenGL > Unchecking Hardware OpenGL > Restarting Cinema4D, fixed the problem.

Afterward, I went into the same location and re-checked Hardware OpenGL, restarted Cinema4D, and the problem appeared to remained solved.

Afterward, I upgraded my graphics card drivers just in case that had anything to do with it.

Thanks all I apologize for the thread.

No need to apologize, it's good to have solutions for these kind of issues. ;)  But for the next time, make sure you use Mark Topic Solved button.

    Thanks

I've encountered this a couple of times over the years. Restarting C4D solved the problem every single time. I think it has something to do with rendering material previews, at least that's what I like to think. Most of if not every time this happened to me C4D was super busy with rendering loads of material previews and taking ages for it. Maybe thats a bug that just happens to also influence the material previews or something, I don't know.
