Duplicate UVW tag to similar mesh

I have a mesh that has a UVW tag on it - I would like to copy this tag over to other similar objects but when I do the map becomes distorted. They have all been placed so I would prefer not to duplicate the object, although I appreciate that wouldnt take long with the transfer tool. 

 

But I'd like to know what's going on. Can you help?

I think it can't work since the mesh is different. Maybe I'm wrong but UVWs are specific to its mesh.

The instant you modify a mesh, its UVs are altered and I don't think there's a workaround for that.

 

Edit just had a look at your file. You could duplicate your UV'd object and make it a child of each unUVed object and makes it position and rotation 0. This way you get the original position plus a UVed object. Hope that's what you want.

    Yup, you're right I'm getting that same issue, by any chance did you move the Pivot on any object?

    As mentioned before, your meshes aren't equal.

    If you select your "test nub" you'll see it has 1651 polygons.

    All other nubs have 1720 polygons each. For the UVs to match, the meshes need to have equal number of polygon (AND the polygons need to be indexed equally).
