Percent to centimeters

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was about to use the Lotion-Tube preset object: Visualize/3D objects/packaging/lotion tube model.

It has all the things I need right now for a project, but I can't use it, sorta.

The setting numbers are all in percentage and Id like to write in my numbers in cm/mm, after measuring my physical tube...easy, I thought.

Is there a way to change percentage to cm/mm?

Any other suggestion? (except plain math :)  )

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Patrik

You can not use range mapper node?

(simply set up input as percentage and output range in units as needed)

Just looking into preset and since scaling object is based on scaling separated splinec (because it´s based on Loft), mabe the fastest solution could be breake xpresso and scale/set values manualy

Or create kind of "cage" with values as you need and set user data to match values/dimensions...

(copy splines from loft to get exact positions as in rig)

hi,

only the Overall Radius is %, the rest are what ever units you are using, so here tube is 110cm and cap height is 23cm.

  • Thanks a bunch guys, I really, really appreciate this.

Ended up with turning off Expresso and manually do it.

    Best regards,
