Script to load render settings

Recommended Posts

Hi ,

is it possible to load specific render settings from the content browser with a script/button? Or if not also load render settings from a merged file?

I already managed to script-merge a scene file from the content browser with a standard studio lighting but render settings are not loaded from the merged file

it's for quickly loading my standard render settings and studio lighting into a purchased 3D model file for prepapring it for corona renderer.

import c4d

def main():
    doc = c4d.documents.GetActiveDocument()
    fn = "preset://3D-lab objects.lib4d/SCENE/Scene.c4d"
    c4d.documents.MergeDocument(doc, fn, c4d.SCENEFILTER_OBJECTS | c4d.SCENEFILTER_MATERIALS)

if __name__=='__main__':

I'm not entirely sure how to do that but the Class 4 of a Python Scripting Course specifically deals with collecting/reading render settings.
