Place Texture more accurately

Recommended Posts

So, I am modeling a bird (my first animated character so I am making a lot of mistakes/learning as I go), and I originally made the beak an entirely separate piece of geometry.

But From what I've seen that's not the best way to do it, so I tried building it directly out from the head.

The problem, as you can see from this image, is that the yellow texture I am applying to the polygons that form the beak seems to bleed into other polygons for some reason. I'd like a crisp edge.

How should I be doing this?

Thanks for any help

Doing the beak separately is the better way to do it IMO. Is yours separate, or is this one mesh ?

  • this is all one mesh. I saw some birds that @everfresh had made and they all looked to be one piece

OK, look at the properties for your SDS object. Is that in Standard Mode ? If so, change it to Boundary or Edge, and tell me if that fixes it...

If it doesn't we'll be needing the scene file.
