MacPro5,1 GTX 1080 r20 Studio Crashing

Cinema 4d r20.059 Studio

Cycles 4d 1.90 Build 321

I did send crash reports to MAXON and Insydium, but it's been a few days and I haven't heard anything back. So I thought I'd check here if anyone is having similar problems. I've switched the preference to CPU/default for Cycles and it's still bombing out on me. Even when I try to start ProRender now, it crashes on me. Incidentally I haven't had any problems with my 2015 5k iMac at work. So it makes me think it's some kind of Nvidia problem.

Any other methods I can use to avoid this or find out more specifically what's causing it?
