Here's some C4D Python for noobs -

 

random lottery generator spins the numbers, then sorts + holds

I use this speed control a lot for my gear projects etc

a bit more complex -

 

this wheel on a chessboard rebounds at the edges, keyboard ctrl + alt steers L-R

Just to be upfront though, learning a python language and learning C4D Python API is somewhat a different skillset. 

For instance, if a TD spent 5 years in Maya Python doesn't necessarily mean he can immediately pick up C4D Python in a week.
