Cycles getting 2x faster with RTX

Recommended Posts

Accelerating Cycles using NVIDIA RTX article

As the title gave away it seems Cycles is about to get about 2x faster in most scenes when using a Nvidia RTX card.  I'm hoping this comes over to the C4D plugin of Cycles.  I'm very excited.

Since it's going to have the full OptiX framework it will also have the amazing Nvidia AI denoising.  Way better than Intel denoise when you compare the two side by side.

Interesting. I'm a proud user of Cycles4D. It's really nice. Let's just hope that it will be integrated with the R21's material system.

Yea, Cycles 4D is great. I managed to create realistic material with one node and results are great.

any links to side by side comparisons between optix and intel denoiser? from what i've seen the intel denoiser does a pretty good job...

this test is even more impressive, given the amount of noise you're left with initially after a 2 sec render.

I can't find them now, but it seems they are both not great for animations.  For animations Neat video is the best.
