apply cloth to Mixamo skin / animation

Hi,

Not sure if this is possible, but I'm looking for a way to apply a cloth tearing effect to a Mixamo animation, ideally using a spreading vertex map. I've looked everywhere but nada. Anudge towards an appropriate tutorial would be appreciated 🙂

For R21 they made some nice improvements when Mixamo riggs come in question. You should at least try and download the demo and see if you have more luck in there! 🙂

Im thinking if you go the voronoi fracture method you could use fields and that way you can designate where the tear will be based on the geometry topology.

You would have to undergo some investigation as you apply it but this may be a way to do it.

 

The other thing to look into is the tear option for cloth setting a stiffness map where you need it.

 

Cant say iv seen it down in C4D before.
