R21 and multiple workstations

Recommended Posts

I have R21 license, and I have a work and home machine. When I use it at Work the license is locked to that machine and then when I go home. it says the license is already in use.. but from the License pop up screen in R21 it wont let me release the license on my work machine.. i have to go to maxons website and login and release it there.. why not let us release it in R21 directly. also why cant i have it actiev on two machines.. Adobe allows max 3 active installs. and forces you to deactivate one if you need another location.

This should be possible. It would be best to get in touch with Maxon support to see where is the issue.

Just choose File-Quit and Free license instead of just closing CInema 4D.

This works - however, I think it should be the default behaviour. I don't really see the use case of quitting Cinema and not releasing the license.

(@op: Release via Licensing Interface in c4d works fine though - I don't need to use an external browser for that)

Hey,
I forgot to release my license this morning at home before going in to the office, but when I tried to log in from another Mac there was an option to release the license. Not exactly sure now under which tab it was, but at the login screen I easily managed to release the license and use it on another Mac.
