  • Im not sure if I follow what you've done here CBR. It looks great but Im not sure if my model will allow me to replicate this so easily. Could you share your c4d file just so I can have a little look?

  • Might have to go back again to what you did first off and as you didnt have the same amount of edges going right round the model because I see you extruded inside to get your side parts first whereas I just bridged the two planes together to form the fronts.

You're welcome. If you want to curve that front inset bit, FFD with restriction tag works a treat for that sort of thing...

  • Hi CBR

Thanks for your ongoing support on this one 👍

When you say restriction tag, is that something you can in R20 and above? In R19 I dont see the option to save a selection tag for that deformer.

    Thanks

No, that's in all versions back to at least R10....

Create your selection tag on the OBJECT, then right click FFD, open Cinema 4D Tags, and Restriction is in there. Then drag your selection tag into the first of the fields in the restriction tag.

  • Hi again CBR

Just playing around with that restriction tag. Should it work with all kinds of selections i.e polys, edges and points? The help section seems to suggest its just for points.

Gotta love C4D, just keep learning.

    Thanks

Yes, contrary to what the manual says, that does work with all 3, even in R19.
