Removing reflection from Specular

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Im working on this scene.

I've added basically a "Landscape" object and textured it with this

i LOVE the texture but its impacting the reflection on the sculpture which i dont like

If i decrease the DIFFUSE in render settings to 2 instead of 16, the yellow patch disappears but the sculpture doesnt look well lit or as realistic.

This is the sculpture without the reflective material underneath it:

And the texture of it

What can i do to keep everything in the scene as is but removing the yellow diffuse reflection on the sculpture?

Thanks

Lowering the reflection limit in the render preferences of Octane might do it.  It is doing what it would do in real life.  Lowering the reflection depth will change that.  Not sure if turning off reflective caustics is an option in Octane.  That might also be a thing to try.

How do you access reflective caustics?

That should be an easy answer for Google.
