Inconsistent Vray Render Times

Recommended Posts

Hi I was wondering if any one can explain this issue i am having

I have 200 frames in an Architectural render I am doing

everything set to basic i.e bucket sampling set to 5, noise .05

brute force set to 8 (grayed out)

light cache 300 etc

The first pic takes 5mins which is what i wanted (With a bit of noise as expected) however all the

other images suddenly jumps to over an hour to get same results why the drastic change in render times

My guess would be it's doing a check on the previous image and seeing a difference in the samples which would cause GI blotches to be on the image.  It then goes and takes extra samples till the blotches go away.  This is why I found Vray frustrating as ****.  Try Cycles, Redshift, Octane.  They are all far better than Frustration Ray or FRay for short.

Please take care to post in the right section, which is not The Lounge. We have a special category for Vray under Rendering.
