Request: how to achieve this shader

Hello,

I use octane and c4d. I have been searching high and low on the web and reading forums but I am still unclear as to how I could achieve a shader like this:

THe idea is close but I cant get it in lighter pastels colors, or a mother of pearl like the picture. Can anyone help with specifics? thanks

Normally a pearlescent type finish is achieved by adding a coloured fresnel gradient into the reflecton colour channel.

But as the coloring in your sample is a bit more 'directional', it may simply be reflecting a coloured gradient on a sky object
