Light Bulbs Inside Object

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

any idea how to make this? putting sphere shaped light bulbs inside object to make them look like lights?

The half-spheres definitely are under a "Cloner" i suppose

I would use a luminating texture on half spheres.

  • i'm aware of that. my question is how to make the luminating texture on half spheres fit in a well-distributed way inside the 1 symbol

  • This is great!

I have added exactly the same logic as the layers and the linking, but didn't get the result as yours.. Can you clarify what is technically missing from my document?

The logic was not the same, you switched the layers. Also you need the surface to be subdivided, the more even and denser the more precise the result. The effector was set to modify the translation in your example, not the scale as in mine.

  • ah it worked! after lots of experimenting and watching tutorials i figured it: the spheres weren't close to the main object. If you pull them away from the main object  then the whole thing disappears. thanks!
