Sky hidden in parallel camera viewport

Recommended Posts

Hi all, beginner question here. When viewing a scene through a camera set to Parallel view (or top, front, etc.) a sky object placed in the scene seems to not display in the viewport. Instead, one just sees the gray default background. I've fiddled with many view, filter, option, camera and configure view settings, but can't seem to figure out how to make the sky display in the viewport when viewed through the Parallel camera. Renders fine, and it reappears in the viewport when the viewport is in Perspective view. Is this standard behavior or am I missing something? Using R20.

I suspect that it is a limitation of a parallel camera. If so, nothing you can do about that, other than setup sky in other cams.

  • Cerbera, seems to be the case, an ultra wide 90 degree rotated perspective camera is close enough, thanks.
