Animating a swarm of rockets/birds.

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm having trouble with an animation in MoGraph.

There should be swarms of rockets flying in about the same direction.

I had ideas to also make similar to this with animating birds, flapping with their wings.

The rockets are in a cloner. Clones are set on random, objet, volumes, The volumes the rockets are in, are spheres. The spheres are not displayed in rendering. A random effector is attached to the cloner.

The animation is done by animating the spheres' position, and to a small extent by animating some random effector values. This part works as it should.

But I also want the rockets to rotate along the direction of travel and wiggle a bit. I did this by animating the internal movement of the rockets first and then after, placing them in the cloner.

This does not work at all. They just get stable straight ahead.

Is there any way to solve this? Or are there a smater way to make this?  Grateful for the answer.

Has C4d R14.

It is quite difficult to envisage a scene where there are no pictures of the setup, or better still the scene file itself. Please upload at least 1 of those !

Thanks for the help. I solved the problem.
The cloner seems to kill all animations of an object.
But it is possible to animate the random effector.
    Random, Transform, Rotation.

Is "fix clone" checked in cloner?
