The Script Club: Colorize joint weights

Recommended Posts

As mentioned, here's the latest offer of The Script Club. (See the end of the post for a list of other offers - partly free! - on this Patreon.)

**The Script Club - (1-02) Colorization of the weights ($5 Tier)**
Scripts: https://www.patreon.com/posts/script-club-1-02-33446673
Description: https://www.patreon.com/posts/script-club-1-02-33446366

This script allows you to hierarchically change the color your joints are using to display their weights. The automatically assigned colors are often too similar from one joint to the next, and make it difficult to check the gradient between weights:

(C4D's auto-colored weights)

The script will select distinctively different colors while going through your joint hierarchy, and make adjustments:

For further descriptions, please open the Patreon page.

Notes:

  • A manual adjustment in the Weight Manager's display settings is needed to show these colors.
  • Also contained in the same post: A script that transfers the display color to the icon color. This is useful if you colored your joint icons under R19 or below, and wish to retain the color under R21 or above, where the icon color has a separate setting.
  • If you're not interested in the script: The description tells you how to change the color of the weights manually, as well.

Other offers:

(Note that the $ tiers are not the price of the single script, but the Patreon tier under which it is available. Patreon is a support concept, not a single-sale plan. Also, while being a patron requires a membership for downloading, no software subscription is involved for any of these offers.)
