Animate liquid flow in tube

Recommended Posts

I need to animate a liquid flowing through a tube. The liquid is going from blue (cold) to hot (red) as it flows through the tube. I animated the texture by adding a gradient and animating it. It does the job but not perfectly. The change in color is not uniform throughout the tube (see C4D file). How can I make it more uniform? Also, I added arrows to show the flow of liquid. I cloned an arrow along a spline. This works well but it needs to be continuous. How can I make the flow of arrows continuous? I wanted to use the particle emitter instead, but it seems you can't animate a particle (my arrow) along a spline.

  • Thanks Dane but this is the exact same file. It seems you haven't made any changes. Am I wrong?

Definitely, yes ! Can't remember if it was helpfully key-worded or not though...

  • CBR, I keep on looking but, while you're there, any idea how to do this? This should be pretty simple for a guy like you!
