UV Stretching Issue

Hey guys,

 

I wonder, is there any way to avoid stretching issue without changing the model?

I export the mesh in Cinema 4D and put a random material on it in Substance. Thanks,

Somehow you have got incorrectly proportioned UVs. You need to UV map it again using firstly Box 1 projection, and then doing a realign to get this result, where the proportions of the UV match that of the model.

    I get the same UVs like you did. but, it still doesn't work.

    I don't have substance so can't help further than I already have. The problem must be there now.

    Hi, can you post your cube file?

    I check simple cube in R21, exported as obj and applied smart material in SP and everything is ok...

    - opened in R21, edited UV´s exported with default settings as obj file, deleted Arnold material ´cos I haven´t Arnold and added  standard c4d material

    - new file in SP, loaded mesh

    - baked maps (just normal and world normal)

    - selected defaul material (exported from c4d) added new layer selected some alpha to check flow

    - added few other layer and smart material, all works well...

     

    So, don´t know what to tell. Maybe something wrong with export arnold material from c4d to SP?

    Just for checking, remove Arnold material and use standard c4d material.

    ... or you didn´t change some parameters in smart material projection? (different mapping or ...)
