Too dense UV's

    Btw, I'm looking for a method to do this not only on this model but something more universal that I could use for most models

    Well I have tried every method I can think of to UV that mesh, and whereas I can get a perfectly serviceable UV map, nothing I can do will alter that density, forcing me to the conclusion that my initial speculation was right - can't be done. Unless someone else can chime and give you a way I haven't thought of... which is always a possibility 🙂

    I can always do it manually 😜

    I think UV Vonc (plugin for Cinema) has a UV relax brush, and I know a few other programs do.
