my generated .obj contains transparent parts

Recommended Posts

Hi,

When I use splines during the making of my geometry, it happens that when I export the .obj, I have transparent issues.

For examples I applied and "extrusion" to a shape made with a spline. In c4d it looks great but I have this weird result in my .obj :

I tried to apply a "Skin" to my geometry but nothing changes. The only way I managed to fix that issue is to add a "cloth" effect on it but it deeply increased the number of points of my geometry. I don't need to add relief in my geometry, just a skin.

Does anyone have an idea ?

Thank you very much

Convert spline generators to polygons, optimize and align normals. Then export...

  • @bezo Thank you very much, I managed to fix it with my shapes.

I have one last problem : I don't manage to fix that issue when I'm playing with "Controlled extrusion" and with a non closed spline :

(I converted it into polygons, and I aligned the normals)

Do you have any lead on this one ? Thank you very much
