R21 sculpting issue

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm new to sculpting, and something keeps happening which is driving me nuts.

I'm half way through sculpting a shape and suddenly none of the sculpt tools work.

Whether I try to grab, pinch, pull etc nothing happens. They suddenly have no effect on any of the objects in my project.

I tried rebooting, and that didn't work.

Any ideas on what's happening? Much appreciated.

Hi

Can you get your scene to where this problem happens then save the file out ad upload it here please.  A screen shot would help too, could be many things that causing this.

    Hi

While trying to find out why this is happening one of the first ports or call is to try copying all contents and paste it into a new scene.  This worked, so it means you activated or deactivated something.  You can continue to scan through the scene or just work with what is now working.  If this happens every time its either there is a bug corrupting the scene, or your doing something?  I could find it but at times the obvious just dont jump out right away.

PS: Having a quick look the Pull pressure is 0.1 way too low, that wont work in that case.  Have you tried this in R20 or older to see if you get the same issues?

  • Thanks Dan - that's a useful tip.

All seems to be functioning again.

    Cheers,
