Unsure of what problem is this

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi guys,

I am pretty new to cinema 4D. Just started probably 3 weeks back and i have an issue with one of the renders and I tried troubleshooting it but still fail.

There is this flicker that appears throughout behind the X wing Fighter. I used Vray to render out. GI on. The material behind are all self illumination material.

Please let me know what could be the issue here.

Thank you!

Hi,

Flickering when using GI is common issue, you need to use QMC/Brute force method for GI, which will increase render times, but other solution is to light scene with couple lights, without GI, which is not always necessary.

    Hi Dane,

Thank you! I will try to use the QMC or Brute Force method and update on the results.

    Thanks!

You sure that this is GI flicker? I would say this could also be just overlapping polygons. As far as I can tell the ENTIRE surface flickers, doesn't look like GI blotches.

You are right. I have checked my polygons and yes they are overlapping. Thank you so much for pointing this out!
