Looking for someone to help with a python script

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I am in need of a python script . The script should do the following :

- Create an expresso node for a specified joint object
- Create an expresso node for a pose morph tag on a specified figure
- Create a range mapper expresso node
- Connect a specified Rotation axis of this object into a range mapper
- Connect the range mapper output to the strength of a specified morph inside the pose morph node
- Set Clamp Lower and Upper on the range mapper
- Fill in the 4 Parameter Fields on the range mapper with specified values

In plain speech I would like to create a driver connection between a morph which then gets driven by a joint axis rotation. All the values will be provided by the user.
The idea behind this is that I usually import fbx from DS to C4D and the exports will have corrective morphs in the posemorph tag, but I would have to setup all these manually
to the correct joint and its axis rotation for each of the 100+ morphs, everytime when I import a new figure. So this simple script could save me alot of frustration.

Is there a friendly person here who could help a python beginner out and put together a quick example of a script that does just that, so I could use that instead of me looking through the function library without knowing where to even start?

*fingers crossed*

As nobody seems to jump onto this, I thought I should add a few words.

It's absolutely possible to implement something like this. It's not done with just two lines of code, though.

In general I do such things on a "pay what you want" basis. I'm just a bit low on time currently, so I wouldn't be able to do it right away. If you are interested, simply contact me via PM.
