Unwanted Shadows using Emitted Planes

Recommended Posts

Hi Everybody,

i been trying to cover up a flamethrower flame with multiple heads..(to censor it, with a little comedic effect)

So i startet a emitter an added a plane (to emitt) - Sorry for my englisch. Its not good.

my questtion:

how do i remove the black parts, around the heads.. and why are they only show up some of the times??

--in Cinema 4D i created a new material and I add a photoshop-file (2 Layers - 1 is the Head and 1 the background i cut it out of)

in color and in alpha (this might be my problem)

--> this is the result

Thanks a lot!

i will post the final video in the end if somebody is interested.

  • TheILLman changed the title to Need Help with this, South Park Head in flamethrower, thx

That could be caused by either:

  • Shadowing from lights
  • Ambient Occlusion
  • Ray Depth set too low

But you haven't uploaded the scene file / assets so we can't know for sure which of those is the issue.
