Outdoor scene and I can't get GI options right

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I am trying to do architectural outdoor scenes of a courtyard and for some reason I cannot get the lighting to a nice setting. I am using the vray physical sky+sun and I had to use quite a high ISO to get this scene to look somewhat nice and sunny, otherwise it's just too dark inside. I put the sun at a very steep angle, to make sure that I get maximum light into the courtyard but that did not help overly much because of the shade of the trees.

I remember from older versions of vrayforc4d that it was possible to increase the number of bounces the GI calculates, but I don't really find this option in the 3.70 version.

Do you have an idea what I can do to make this look nice? Any tips - also concerning other points - would be appreciated.
